Internship: AI (Artificial Intelligence) Strategy & Market Research

About Avantium Avantium is a leading technology company in renewable chemistry, committed to accelerating the transition to sustainable materials. Our Research and Development Solutions (RDS) team develops innovative solutions for research and testing workflows, including Flowrence®, our advanced high-throughput experimentation platform. We are exploring how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can transform materials development and enhance our offerings.

Role Overview We are looking for an AI Strategy & Market Research Intern to support our efforts in defining Avantium RDS's role in the AI-driven materials development value chain. You will work on strategic projects that combine customer insights, market segmentation, and partner scouting to shape new service offerings and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct customer interviews with companies using AI and Flowrence®:
• Identify opportunities to improve Flowrence® with AI.
• Understand the preferred role of RDS in the AI value chain.
• Interview AI companies active in materials development:
• Segment the AI-driven materials development market.
• Develop success stories for marketing and visibility around AI.
• Scout AI partners :
• Identify new service offerings (e.g., AI-enhanced testing workflows).
• Explore partnerships
• Support strategic recommendations for RDS's positioning in the AI ecosystem.

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Master's or advanced Bachelor's program in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Sciences, or related fields .
• Strong interest in AI applications in materials science and business strategy .
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to conduct interviews and synthesize insights.
• Proactive, independent, and eager to learn.
